Our team is 100% female minority driven with over 40 years of servicing our DMV communities. We value our time with persons needing that gap to be filled between Teen and Young Adulthood, and provide a change in atmosphere through representation, advocacy, creative inspiration and a positive life altering journey.
About Us
Mission: We are here to aspire to advance to the next level.
Because of my ful-figured statue as a teen girl I was quickly seen as a young adult, and often spoken to and held at an expectation level that was not age-appropriate. I felt angered a lot, seen as aggressive when I would speak firmly and clearly, and change my tone and body language to be listened to. Which I know now was me being assertive, firm, and resolute. Between family, friends, school and church I wore many different hats to conform to whichever environment I found myself, to be seen and not heard. I've gone to 11 different schools (3-High Schools) I found myself alone, voiceless, and a lot of times seen only when others needed me. We must be very careful with our young people because that is when I began engaging and developing the art of self-criticism, harsh internal dialogue, and anticipating failure. But, for the supports who periodically showed up in my life, and assisted me with their guiding lights.I can be here prepared and planned to be there for others.

REFLECTION
Reflecting is about questioning, in a positive way, what you do and why you do it, and then deciding whether there is a better, or more efficient way of doing it in the future.
Reflection helps young people find meaning in making connections between educational experiences and real life situations.
REPRESENTATION
Minority women start new businesses in the U.S. at four times the rate of non-minority men. A survey by Gusto, in 2021, states women represented 49% of startups in the U.S. In the US, there are over 14 million women-owned small businesses, accounting for nearly 40% of all businesses in the country. Now, my company is a representation.
GROW! Extended support is extremely unique, existing opportunities in the county can bring insightful entrepreneurship goals careers and workforce specialist. We believe access to speakers, site-visits, presentations and interviews help breach the gaps present in crossing from Teens to Young Adulthood.

In all actuality it is suggested that across the world conflicts of despair is happening with later teens and new young adults.
This poses an oppressive lifestyle and it's many variants have them falling short today. Their success is a triumphant reward for all of humanity.
